I support the arrest of people linked to the video of Bikoy. They are the same people who have gotten away with using false information against others they consider enemies like what they did to the late Chief Justice Renato Corona. They come from the same group who spread a meme accusing ordinary folks like us of being Marcos paid hacks.
There has to be consequences for posting lies and propaganda against innocent people. If the Opposition is an advocate of due process, they should support the move to find out who created the Bikoy video that hurled accusations against the first family with unverified info.
According to Rodel Jayme, after the videos went viral, he was instructed by his clients to go into hiding. Now we know why Cocoy Dayao is in hiding. He was most likely instructed to disappear or be dealt with as well. They were both thrown under the bus.
Suffice to say, most yellow supporters are pathetic. They are cling-ons or hanger-ons. They admire and wish they could live the lives of their idols from the members of Philippine oligarchy. This is why it is easy to manipulate them into breaking the law just like how Rodel Jayme, Jover Laurio, and Cocoy Dayao were manipulated.
Following the arrest of “blogger” Rodel Jayme on charges of inciting sedition after being tagged as Patient Zero in the viral outbreak of the notorious “The Real Narco-list” videos, the spotlight is now on a certain Maru Xie, purportedly also known as Maru Nguyen.
According to a National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) statement reported by the Philippine News Agency, Xie is part of a conversation found within Jayne’s Facebook account that establishes her being a person of interest in this case.
Netizen @doctorluckmd shared on Twitter what appears to be a woman who could be Xie (or Nguyen) together in a photo with Jayme taken from the profile page of one of her social media accounts.
However, as of this writing, it seems that both the Facebook and Instagram accounts of Xie had either been deactivated or deleted.
The Twitter handle @maruxie89 (which is the same as the handle used in the above defunct Instagram account), on the other hand, still seems to be active. Though not having much of a following, this account seems to be dedicated to promoting the campaign and the shoutouts of Yellowtard Opposition candidate Romy Macalintal.
Interestingly, a Facebook post of Macalintal “on the campaign trail” features a photo credited to “Maru Nguyen”.
How can one expect Filipinos to regard the chi chi Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism (PCIJ) as an objective source of information when its chairman, Howie Severino is a known rabid supporter of partisan camps loyal to the Aquino-Cojuangco clan (a.k.a. the Yellowtards)?
This is an issue highlighted by former Ambassador and Manila Times columnist Bobi Tiglao in a recent Facebook post…
In the company of known communists, Yellowtard politicians like Florin “Pilo” Hilbay, and disgraced singer Jim Paredes, among others, it is difficult to see Severino and the PCIJ as anything other than just another mouthpiece of groups loyal to failed ideologies and narratives.
PCIJ, Vera Files, CMFR have been demanding transparency from government. Yet they refuse to be transparent when they’re asked who are their funders. Don’t they know that media like government is a public trust? They haven’t responded at all to my queries.
It must be clear in hindsight to many of the bozos in this photo what a dumb idea it was to be caught all together in this now iconic wedding photo.
As if they haven’t been burnt enough yet, it seems Jover Laurio of Pinoy Ako Blog and a certain “Mrs Unlawyer” of [what’s her claim to fame nga ba?] remain locked in a mutual back-patting Twitter soiree of sorts. Quite flattering too as they revel over the fact that they had earned respective distinctions as subject of past GRP articles.
Laurio, of course, is a GRP hall-of-famer being, well, the top blogger of Yellowtardom, or so we are reminded continuously by the fact of her being crown princess Filipino of the Year deemed so no less than by the country’s top broadsheet the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
As for “Mrs Unlawyer”, she may not be as decorated as Laurio but she certainly tries hard enough evidently drawing from a well of moral support supplied by her community of mutual back-scratching amigas. Trouble is, and to give a bit of credit to the earlier princess, “Mrs Unlawyer” lacks a body of online work to substantiate what she actually stands for online. Other than low-brow stunts like inciting violence against other women (which earned her her first GRP mention), “Mrs Unlawyer” has really nothing much to show for all the time she spends on Twitter. Indeed, perhaps she should thank GRP for immortalising her Twitter personasuch as in this one where, unfortunately for her, her bald inability to respond to simple challenges to her hollowly-bold assertions is on exhibit.
Funny enough, it is quite interesting to note that despite a lot of the online scrutiny Laurio attracts to her face (which she once attempted to deal with through an ill-advised lawsuit that later backfired), Laurio continues to soldier on face-first. Now that is something I gotta admit, I admire in Laurio — her ability to put forth a brave face amidst all the commentary on, well, her face.
The same cannot be said of “Mrs Unlawyer”, however who seems to prefer to put a dog between the camera and her mug.
Fair enough. There are many ways to get a message across that does not require directing people’s attention to one’s face. But when you’ve got nothing much to exhibit other than a thousand-odd tweets that, in the scheme of things, serves no more than to assuage one’s need for online validation, well, one would think one would marshal as much of their personal equity as could be brought to bear in their online advocacies, whatever that might be.
No exception. All politicians claim to be and promise to be honest and truthful during election campaigns. This, of course, changes when they win, but what is important is the perception of impeccable integrity they bring across in that all-important campaign leading to the elections.
Imagine finding yourself associated with a liar in the midst of a crucial election campaign — and one whose wedding you were photographed in attendance of! Yikes!
Suffice to say, campaign contributors won’t be too happy seeing their investment being put at risk by a problem that is easily solved. Indeed, the solution is so obvious that even the Bible offers it up in these timeless words…
And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for. thee that one of thy members should perish, and. not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
It’s simple, really. The Opposition’s obvious action to ditch the Yellowtards is a long-overdue call to action. Now it is imperative that they do, lest they be associated with a liar like Jover Laurio.
It’s time to do the right thing and possibly increase your chance of winning an election you all had been told time and again you really need to win. The right option is a win-win proposition. Ditch a liar, improve your election winning chances. The alternative, continue to coddle a liar, is a one-way road to Loserville.
Perjury. This is the legal “nuke” PR personality Franco Mabanta was “saving” for last and will now be going after Yellowtard blogger Jover Laurio with according to his recent Facebook post…
WHAT YOUR LAWYERS DIDN’T TELL YOU IS THAT YOU COMMITTED SEVERAL COUNTS OF PERJURY BY LYING UNDER OATH ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS.
AND MY LAWYERS HAVE ACTUAL PHYSICAL EVIDENCE [of] YOUR CRIMES.
YOU’RE IN A SITUATION RIGHT NOW THAT IS DAMNING AND CONCLUSIVELY INDISPUTABLE.
EVEN MORE THAN THE FIRST TWO TIMES YOU LOST TO ME, THESE COUNTS OF PERJURY ARE FUCKING BULLETPROOF.
YOU CANNOT AND WILL NOT WIN THESE CASES. EVERY TOP TIER LAWYER I’VE SPOKEN TO SAYS IT’S GAME OVER. DONE, DONE, AND DONE.
It is quite fitting that it is the charge of lying that might crush Laurio this time. Because that charge is, in fact, true. Jover Laurio is a liar and a dishonest person. She lies as a matter of habit and built an entire online cult of personality on the back of lies. If the charges are successfully prosecuted and Laurio convicted, she faces “a combined prison term of up to seven years” according to Mabanta.
Despite being outed as a Yellowtard blogger funded by no less than the Queen of All Philippine Media, Kris Aquino, Jover Laurio continues to soldier on, delivering idiotic blog post after idiotic blog post in rapid succession. The energy needed to sustain this sort of mediocrity is nothing short of remarkable.
Part of the secret to her success could lie in her ability to habitually avoid responding to valid questions asked of her by her readers. For example, Laurio claimed that the only agenda in the project to clean-up Boracay mounted by the government of President Rodrigo Duterte was to pave the way for the construction of a casino. Now she is implying that the recent successful clean-up of Manila Bay was to prepare for a massive reclamation project supposedly to be undertaken by another Duterte crony. She has so far declined to respond to challenges against the validity of these claims.
All of these are based on spotty evidence. But Laurio is not one to allow the facts to get in the way of a juicy Yellowtard story. Indeed, it takes a perverse sort of creativity to be able to come up with fodder for this sort of borderline criminal blogging style.
Perhaps someday the truth will catch up with Jover Laurio. But let’s not hold our collective breath. Manufacturing lies — and liars — enjoys a long tradition of excellence amongst the Yellow camp. Indeed, Laurio herself was a victim of the lying and deceitful ways of her patrons. But, evidently, she does not let all that get in the way of a crooked blogging career either.
Following yesterday’s wedding of Yellowtard blogger Jover Laurio of Pinoy Ako Blog, photos of the chi chi affair have surfaced on the Net revealing a who’s-who of Opposition personalities gracing the event.
It is a safe bet that Pena, possibly being on the Crazy Rich One’s payroll as “legal consultant” is on a tight leash and, therefore, not likely to have graced the occasion of Laurio’s nuptials. That’s fair enough.
A lot of rabid yellow supporters on social media who were Jover Laurio’s’ contemporaries before she became “popular” didn’t even bother to greet or congratulate her on her recent nuptials. It seems they don’t think highly of her anymore. She probably acts like she is too good for them now.
Jover is very good at playing the victim. Like I said before, she is a talented scammer. It seems she found a way for others to fund her blog site and her extravagant wedding. She just had to suck up to the elite members of the yellow crowd and write what they want to read.
People who are worthy of compassion are those who have shown remorse. Jover hasn’t even apologised for her errors and for her efforts to malign other people. Instead, she acts like she is the victim. Just look at the way she acts like the “pa-boost” issue is nothing.
It is my personal advocacy to rid the Philippines of menaces to society and Kris Aquino, Jover’s one-time patron, is one of them. Besides, tweeting about the truth is not hard. It doesn’t take me away from other important things I have to do in the day. The question is, why wouldn’t you want to stop the likes of Kris and the entrenched oligarchy she represents?
The yellow bigwigs still support Jover even after revelations that Kris Aquino was funding her and even though these facts show they are hypocrites in accusing others of being paid hacks. They don’t have a problem with it since her blogs are critical of Duterte. Very self-righteous.
Why should the public be bothered by what Jover did or does? Because she is involved in propagating negative propaganda against the current government and she doesn’t have any qualms about destroying other people’s lives just to get what she wants. She is a menace to Philippine society.
