A few people have messaged me recently and asked why I stopped writing about Philippine politics and society. It’s not that I don’t want to, but I have been lending my voice to the issues facing
western Christian countries right now. European and North American countries are facing a much deeper crisis that if not fixed, can affect the rest of the world including the Philippines.
I am sure most of you are aware of what is happening in Europe specifically in the Spanish territory Ceuta where hundreds of thousands of Muslims from Morocco have invaded. The men do not come in peace. They pretend to be refugees or asylum seekers, but they have started looting businesses and trespassed homes. A lot of political commentators say it’s an orchestrated campaign by Iran to take advantage of Europe’s flawed immigration policy with the end game of undermining western societies. It’s simply an invasion with the help of liberal members of western societies who suffer from suicidal empathy.
The crisis is putting the lives and safety of not just the locals, but also the rest of Europe because the fighting-aged men who force their way in could potentially make their way to other countries that are part of the European Union (EU). This crisis was a direct result of the Spanish Prime Minister’s announcement that his government had approved plans to give legal status to 500,000 undocumented migrants back in April. Now the floodgates have opened. Even before this happened, there were already illegal migrants crossing the borders of the United Kingdom (UK) and other EU nations.
A lot of the illegal migrants commit crimes like rape and murder. Some parts of the UK are now said to be unrecognisable and have turned into something resembling Baghdad. This all thanks to the far left politicians who are trying to destroy their own societies so they can implement their communist agendas. I personally do not want to allow this to happen that’s why I feel compelled to help fight the insane left even if it’s just on social media. The US faced a similar problem under Biden but it’s a good thing President Trump has put an end to it. At least the immigration problem in the US is under control for now while the Republicans are in power.
Meanwhile, the issues in the Philippines just keep repeating themselves. I feel like I’ve written about most of them in the past. Case in point is the current impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte. It is reminiscent of the impeachment trial of the late former Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona. So basically it’s just the same tired game with the same pathetic players. It’s all just a power play with the public as pawns. It will never change unless the people learn to stop rewarding the same useless politicians especially in Congress.
I feel, for now, that participating in a conversation on issues impacting the Philippines’ greatest allies is a priority for me. No matter how small, every contribution to this conversation counts in these times when Western Europeans seem to suffer a crisis of identity and purpose.
